We are a 4 star Gold rated guest house in Edinburgh.
We currently have a temporary position available for a cleaner/housekeeper for the busy season, April until October 2014.
The tasks we need help with are:
General cleaning of the guest bedrooms and public areas, serving breakfast, answering the telephone and taking bookings and updating our online booking system.
We are looking for someone with the following skills and attributes:
Good command of the English language
Basic computer skills
Fit enough to carry out all required cleaning tasks
Friendly and enthusiastic attitude
Comfortable interacting and working with other people
Able to be flexible around the timing and the number of hours worked
We will provide training for all the tasks we expect you to carry out.
We guarantee a minimum of 18 hours work a week. There will be an opportunity for more hours available depending on how busy the guest house is. Typically we would expect you to work between 3 and 6 hours a day for 5 days a week, but this is flexible.
Starting salary will be £7 per hour. This will be reviewed after the first month, and there is an opportunity to increase this salary, depending on the amout of responsibility you are happy and able to take on in the guest house.
